While no two projects are the same, we have found the general method below (along with our online project tracking application) to be effective at helping us, together, keep projects both on time and on budget. Our suggested approach consists of the following five main phases:

Phase 1: Project Planning and Strategy
In this phase of the project, TASIG will work with you to gather all requirements necessary to produce a detailed project plan/scope document. It is also during this phase of the project that all client assets/collateral are collected, and domain issues are worked out.

Phase 2: Site Design
Once the requirements have been gathered, and the project plan approved, the TASIG staff begin work on a graphic design for the site. The design process is an iterative one – a process you must be actively engaged in to keep the project moving.

Phase 3: Integration/Implementation
Once the site design has been approved, it is handed over to the technical staff. The site is cut-up, content integrated, and any custom programming is coded.

Phase 4: Testing
We rigorously test your web site to ensure that all requirements set forth in the project plan have been met. It is not uncommon for us to engage you in this process as a training tool.

Phase 5: Site Launch
Once the testing has been completed and any last-minute issues worked out, the site is pushed into production. But not before you approve us to do so.

Of course, because all projects are different, this process is not written in stone. The project manager assigned to your project will rely on his/her experience managing web projects and work with you to adapt or modify the process where appropriate.
